Dear List Friends, I am pleased and proud to tell you that I finished my second champion on Saturday with a 5 point major at the Gardner KS shows under noted terrier judge, Peter Green. "Bear" is a black and silver and a full littermate to my first champion, "Artie"; the boys' AKC names are Ch. Carine Them There Eyes and Ch. Carine New York New York. They finished breeder-owner handled by yours truly and were always groomed to perfection by their human granny Kennalea Pratt. A third sibling from this litter, my lovely "Cassie" [Carine Million Dollar Baby] is now in the ring under the masterful guidance of handler Ted Montgomery. She took a four point major on Sunday in Kansas to complete a perfectly awesome weekend! She needs only four points, including one major, to be the third champion from this litter! Thanks to all the list friends who have cheered us on. We are having fun!!!!!

Just a note to let you all know that my little Doodlebug aka Duncan aka CH Bravo's The GREAT Gatsby won the breed ( 3 BOBs) at the Virginia Specialty and the Virginia Kennel Club shows this past weekend. He got a Group 3 on Sunday making his poor Momma have to wait and leave Richmond at 5pm on the way to Atlanta.... Like I would have left early ----I don't think so!!

Bravo! Bravo! for Gay and Larry Oltjenbruns of Atlanta, Georgia on their new Champion, CH. Gala's Cosmic Event, "Mini-Me". Mini-Me finished her championship yesterday from the Breed By Exhibitor Class, handled to perfection and shown exclusively by her breeder, Gay Oltjenbruns. Mini-Me's mother is, Top Bitch, CH. Gala's Sophisticated Event,"Sophia" sired by top producer, Ch. Bravo's Cosmic Charm (7chs). Watch for Mini-Me in the agility ring. Way to go Gay, Larry and Mini-Me! Wooo Woooo!! Just got back from the Shawnee dog show and had the honor of watching Artie and Caroline finish up his championship points! He won Best of Winners and Best of Breed. Everyone was so excited. Also Jan Taylor got her points too. Am sending pictures of Artie getting his "official photo" and Kennelea and Caroline.

We had a great afternoon at the Gardner KS show and were there to see Carine New York New York (Artie),  get 4 more points and win Best of Breed! I think he only needs two more points to finish! We had a great time visiting with Carolyn and Kennalea and doting over Cassie and Artie. Both schnauzies are beautiful and so much fun. I am sorry to say we won't be able to see them tomorrow as we have another committment but we sure had fun today!!

Carolyn Carine's (Artie) Carine New York New York,  wins at the following shows, the St Louis Dog Breeders Association, Inc.,  the Spirit of the Heartland Kennel Club Inc., and Jefferson County KC of Missouri, Inc. shows   He was entered in Bred By Exhibitor and he won First in his class, Winners, Best of Winners and Best of Breed in all three shows. Way to go Artie!
Carolyn's little bitch puppy, Carine's Million Dollar Baby, took a reserve win at the show on Saturday and was always in the running too. Both dogs are out of Carolyn's Marcelle (Starbound Gabby's Gift) only litter.

At the Weekend after gaining the final points required (100) Daree’s Right to Sing the Blues (Imp USA) now has the right to be titled AUSTRALIAN CHAMPION !!! He did it in style with 3 out of the last 4 shows has been awarded Best of Breed gaining those extra points required to get to that magical 100 points. He has been recognised by Australian and International Judges whilst being campaigned here In Perth. He is a joy to live with, has an incredible zest for life and is the consummate showman always giving it all in the ring. To me it has been a challenge to show him – with him not been trained in the Aussie way of doing things (being stacked and posed) Blue always kept me focused on the job to get the best out of him! I am truly indebted to Gwen Mulheron  for her trust in sending me not only Blue but 2 wonderful bitches. (Trixie) Daree’s Magic Trix to Edelgeist (Daree's Midnight Magic / Daree's Mo' Songs Sung Blue) and (Leah) Daree’s Dangerous Liaisons (Am Ch Daree’s Notice Me / Ymeline de Praules). Trixie is now half way to her Australian Championship title whilst Leah is settling in and waiting in the wings for her major debut. At the moment my homebred dogs are being rested and stripped out while I campaign the Daree dogs. I look to the future generations of homebred dogs based on the lines of these 3 incredible dogs with enormous anticipation.

I've never done this before but wanted to do a little Australian brag - under US judge Cynthia Meyer today in Melbourne my friend's black miniature schnauzer bitch took out BoB and gained 23 points - I am delighted for breeders Denise and Delice and owner Keira that this bitch puppy was recognised for her potential at 8 months of age and with a tail no less.

Some of us did think that the sky would fall in when tail docking was banned in Australia and I know of several breeders of docked breeds who did stop breeding - so for those breeders who are doing the right thing, it is a wonderful acknowledgement to see that having a tail will not stop overseas judges from putting a good dog up.

Well done, Denise, Delice and Keira.
