Bailey

Thanks so much to all of you who responded to 'Bailey needs a home'.  Bailey was a 3yo rescued mini from Arkansas that I posted about.

A special thanks to Mini Pin Rescue in Arkansas for originally pulling the dog for me, thanks to Dirinda Skelton for offering to foster Bailey and a great big thank you to Virginia Abel for having her daughter provide transportation from Little Rock to her home in Fayetteville, where she took care of him for several days. Virginia groomed him, got his health certificate and took him to the airport yesterday where he flew to his new home in North Carolina.

Bailey is at home with a retired couple whose mini died about a year ago. They will provide him lots of love, a bed to sleep in (theirs<G>) and anything his little heart desires.

Thanks again for everybody's help,
Flora

Boredom can drive a schnauzer crazy.  I got my rescue, Bailey, when he ran away from home for the umpteenth time and turned up in my yard.  He had been the dog from hell at his previous owner's--had chewed everything possible, including cupboard doors and molding, ate anything that was not nailed down (including 10# of potatoes in one lonely afternoon--we won't go into how sick a schnauzer can get...), torn up what he could not chew (toilet paper was big on the list, any paper of any type, shirts, shoes, etc), and ran away every chance he got.  The owners were at their wit's end. Bailey came into a house with two other dogs.  He immediately fell in love with Muffin, who, after  she got over being scared and hiding behind the toilet, reciprocated.  They play constantly and are always together.  Bailey has been a model dog for me.  He has never once tried to run away, and destructive habits are pretty much gone (but who can resist a full roll of toilet paper left carelessly on the tub, I ask you?), and he is just a very well behaved pooch now--no longer bored, and very happy, I think.
